Each interaction offers a chance for me to pay attention to what God might be doing—even if it’s something as seemingly “small” as kindly asking a server at a restaurant how she or he doing.
If it is not below Jesus’s dignity to do such a lowly task, it is not below any of us to serve others. What an amazing example He set for all of us. Indeed, He “did not come to be served, but to serve”. He showed us what it means to be a leader and a servant. That’s Jesus, the One who serves.
Lord please help us to become people who notice other peoples needs.
